How interesting- some schools will celebrate their history, while others harbor anger and negative feelings about the past. I'd like to talk more about page 50 and the resiliency described in the second paragraph on page 53.

How can we use storytelling more in GVSD to help us celebrate and understand our history?

We took some time prior to Thanksgiving break to share the stories that make GVMS a special place. I find the history of GVMS to be rich and meaningful resulting in a positive feeling to what has happened in the past. How do we as leaders help shape the future while honoring the history? Should we as a admin team take time to go down memory lane? The new face of the team may benefit from hearing what shaped the GVSD. " A learning organization is one that mines past and present experinces for important lessons and principles."

Furthermore, I found the section on norms intersting. What are our norms? And, if there are norms that have a negative impact, how do we begin to change them?
